4  When passengers decrease, airports suffer large losses.  A good year for airlines does not necessarily mean a good year for airports.

5  Recent fuel spike in 2008 increased industry overhead and economic recession decreased flight demand.  These factors have greatly hindered commercial air profits in the past few years  The airline industry hopes that current drop in fuel price will exceed the drop in demand  History shows that the future of the commercial aviation industry depends largely on sustained U.S. economic growth.
