Claude Monet Oscar-Claude Monet was a famous French painter who was born in Paris, France on the 14th of November in 1840 and passed away on the 5th of December in The style of work he does is impressionism and he was the founder of French impressionist painting. His artworks are all mostly landscapes and usually set in Paris where he lived.

Miso Stanislava Pinchuk who is usually known by the name ‘Miso’ is a young street artist from Melbourne. (But she also lives between Tokyo & Berlin as well as Melbourne) The type of artwork she does is drawing, cutting, pin-pricking, tattoo art and fashion designing. She got into street art at the age of fourteen years old and now has opened her artistic skills to other mediums such as tattoo art or fashion designing.

Artwork of Claude Monet
Claude Monet’s pieces of artwork are all painted and all in the form of impressionism painting. Monet’s works are all landscapes and are set in France which is where he lived. In his work he uses many of the design elements are principles. His art uses a lot of texture because of the style he paints in (impressionism) since it’s fast & small brush strokes. His art also uses a lot of bright colours since his paintings are landscapes. As for design principles his art usually has a focal point since there’s a main piece in his paintings with a more simply background.

Artwork of Miso Miso’s artwork is usually paper cut or drawn rather than being painted. Her work can be either is found in galleries or even on the streets of Melbourne for her paper cuts. Her work shows many of the design elements and principles as well. She uses a lot of line in her work to make it simple as well as many different shapes. As for the design principles she uses a lot of pattern for her paper cuts for them to stand out in the streets. Her artwork uses a lot of cutting/pricking (where you put tiny little holes with a pin to form a picture) techniques in her artwork which is very different to something a traditional artist would do.

Art over time I think art over time has changed a lot; there have been many different types of whether it would be cave man painting or the art now days which is more contemporary and modern. As for example in Monet’s artwork it is very simple & ordinary (but still looks amazing) and you would be able to walk outside and see that image (if you were in that place) rather than artwork now a day it’s a bit more different and imaginable. Also the techniques and tools you could use back then weren’t as varied. For example with Miso’s artwork she uses many more tools to create her work such as cutting tools for the paper cuts , a pin for the pin-pricking and the tattoo art which she does now. As for Monet’s he used paints and the style/technique he did was impressionism which is a form of painting. As you can tell art & artists styles, techniques and how they actually make their art have changed lot over time.

Art over time A painting by Monet which shows he painted it and the style of painting for this piece was impressionism

Art over time This piece of work by Miso is pin-pricking which is a new form of art work which is some thing very different compared to Monet’s.
