2 Vocabulary for this lesson Still life = drawing or painting on nonmoving objects. Horizon line = a line that is drawn horizontally onto your paper to separate either earth from sky or wall from table space (background/foreground). Overlap = to draw in such a way that some objects appear to be in front of or behind another.

3 Paul Cezanne He was a Post Impressionist painter who was most known for his still life paintings. His paintings were not “realistic” but rather Impressionistic in style, color and brushstrokes. He often outlined the objects in his work to help them stand out. He used more than one color on each piece of fruit.
