The legislative branch
The Legislative Branch of the United States Government is made up of Congress. There are two parts of Congress, they are the Senate and House of Representatives. The Congress has many jobs. The main job of the Legislative Branch is to write bills that are to possibly become laws. They also have to print and coin money, collect taxes, impeach Presidents and Judges, make sure the Armed Forces have supplies, make treaties, and declare war. By Julian

the judicial branch A guarantee that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without the due process of law Protection against being tried for the same crime twice ("double jeopardy") The right to a speedy trial by an impartial jury The right to cross-examine witnesses, and to call witnesses to support their case The right to legal representation The right to avoid self-incrimination Protection from excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments
