6 How is my student doing?  Check online grades (PASS), and email teachers if you have questions.  NOTE: Please check PASS weekly. Due to the higher volume of students in middle school, it is not possible for teachers to send daily/ weekly progress reports.

7 How do I know what the homework is?  Check student planner

9 How can my student get extra help?  Maple Office Hours: drop in on Wednesdays, 8:15 to 9:00am beginning Sept. 24th  Schedule an appointment  Students are encouraged to re-assess

10 How do I get the latest news?  Sign up for the Listserv 1.Go to the RRMS Homepage 2.Select “News” 3.Select “ListServ”

11 What are the new expectations for my student?  Fill out student planner every period, every day.  Bring appropriate supplies to each class.  When absent, check teacher websites and follow teacher protocols. Come to Office Hours (Wednesdays 8:15 to 9:00AM).

12 How can I support my student?  Provide a quiet space for homework and study.  Establish and maintain electronics-free time, especially at bedtime.  Weekly Check-in (together with your student): 1. Review and sign planner 2. Check teacher websites 3. Check online grades (Thursdays suggested) 4. Check family email and student email 5. Organize binder and check supplies

14 Dates to Remember and Volunteer Opportunities  Outdoor School: March 16 th – 20 th  Week before spring break  Cost will be $165 - $175  Science Fair: January 14 th  During school  All 6 th grade will participate
