13 Brainstorming How does your family keep food from spoiling quickly? How could you get a solid (like sugar) to dissolve quickly in water? What materials are available to use in the lab? Lab Materials Available Water Beaker Stopwatch Alka-Seltzer (2 tablets) Stirring Rod Hot Plate Mortar and Pestle

14 Write the procedure and design the data table. Both must be approved by the teacher before you may begin collecting data. Procedure
