Introduction This work will focus on different issues such as: how to save and protect water. We will present some measures to save our water resources.

Properties of Water Water is a chemical substance with a chemical formula H2O: one molecule of water has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

Water is Life Water is essential to human life and it is one of the most important elements of our planet. All plants and animals must have water to survive. There are many other uses for Water such as: Cooking, recreation, industrial uses etc.. If there was no water there would be no life on earth.

Physical States of Water Water appears in nature in three common states of matter: Liquid - (oceans, rivers e lakes) Solid - (icebergs) Gas - (Water vapour)

Physical States of Water

Water cycle The water cycle, describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth. The water moves from one reservoir to another, such as from river to ocean, or from the ocean to the atmosphere, by the physical processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and subsurface flow.

How does water get to our taps? The tanks are connected to a set of conduits (smaller pipes), which represent the distribution network and lead the water to our homes.

How can we save water at home? Do not water the plants between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m Close the tap during the shower Clean the pavement with a broom Do not buy water toys Do not buy water toys Take shorter showers, five minutes or less. Wash only full loads. Turn off the water while soaping hands and brushing teeth
