2.  Magnets have an invisible force that pulls things toward them or pushes things away  Magnets are made of metals containing: -Iron -Cobalt -Nickel -Steel  In order for a magnet to become magnetized the metal must be exposed to a magnetic field  When a metal is exposed to a magnetic field the metal’s molecules rearrange WHAT IS A MAGNET?!

3.  Do magnets have a specific shape?  No!  Magnets come in all different shapes and sizes They can be… -long -flat -curved -big -small -thick -thin SHAPE?

4.  Some magnets can be found in the natural environment  Natural magnets are found in some rocks which contain iron  Magnetic materials, like iron bits, can be found in sand and other types of soil MAGNETS IN NATURE?

6.  The answer is… Yes!  It is possible to magnetize an iron or steel object by stroking it with a magnet.  The item being magnetized MUST contain iron or steel CAN YOU CREATE A MAGNET?
