Question w/ Percents & Taxes Jeff and Frank bought two pairs of swimming goggles for $26.50. If the rate of sales tax was 6%, what was the total cost of the goggles?

Procedure for Percents & Taxes First:set up the problem. Second:multiply the amount with the percentage. Third:set up your division problem. Fourth:divide the amount you get with a hundred. Fifth: add price with the tax total. Sixth:write the answer in a complete sentence.

Procedure For Discounts First:write the “Regular Price” and the “Rate Of Discount.” Second:write the problem down. Third: multiply the price with the discount. Fourth: set up the division problem. Fifth:divide the amount you get from multiplying with a hundred. Sixth: subtract the discount with the price. Seventh:multiply the amount by two.
