3 Penalties Those convicted of drug felonies are subject to asset forfeitures, such as vehicles, items purchased with proceeds of drug sales, and real property.

4 Penalties Those convicted of drug felonies are prohibited from purchasing or possessing firearms or ammunition.

5 Penalties Those convicted of a controlled substance offense are not eligible for student loans, grants, or work assistance programs. 1998 Amendment to the Higher Education Act of 1965 Title IV, Part G, Section 483(r)

6 Penalties Those convicted of drug felonies are not eligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). ND Department of Human Services Policy Manual Disqualification for Fugitive Felons, Probation/Parole Violators Convicted Drug 400-17-35, Convicted Drug Felony 400-17-35-01

7 ND Meth Penalties Possession of any amount of methamphetamine Class B Felony = $10,000 and/or 10 years in prison Possession with intent to sell or engaging in the act of distribution Class A Felony = $20,000 and/or 20 years in prison Possession of paraphernalia or sale of imitation product Class C Felony = $5,000 and/or 5 years in prison Involving a juvenile in the distribution, selling to a juvenile, or distributing within 1,000 feet of a school Class AA Felony = Maximum sentence - life in prison NDCC
