2 © 2012 Autodesk Class Summary In this class we will present how to submit a full electrical installation designed in Revit MEP to an external calculation tool called Caneco BT and get back results and schematics in the original Revit model. We will explore the advantages of using a BIM model and explain the specific workflow to get benefits from the Revit Add-in “Caneco BIM” the presentation will be based for calculations and schematics on European standards : NEC support is in progress and is not available today Notice

He is a Revit MEP expert, speaking in conferences in Europe, to spread the word on Alpi offering. Julien Drouet Based in Autodesk Paris Office in France, Julien is the MEP Technical Specialist for South Europe. Electrical Engineer, with 15 years of experience in the Building Engineering and Construction Industry, he has been working on the Autodesk MEP product for 5 years.

6 © 2012 Autodesk What is Caneco Caneco is an electrical Calculations & Schematics software allowing to define, according to regulations: - Ampacities - Short-circuit currents - Voltage drop The calculations results allows you to automatically dimensioning: - Conductors & cross-sections cables - Protective devices (MCCB, MCB, ACB, RCB, fuses) Furthermore, all calculated circuits, are directly schematized as: - Single line diagram - Board single line diagram
