14) What is the one thing that the Nursing Section leadership could do to improve ACHA Annual Meetings? stronger nursing clinical presentations telephone triage No suggestions I don't know as I have never been. Improving networking and socializing opportunities. Looks like that is being addressed this year, great job!! Would love to see the annual meeting dates changed to make it easier for those of us on the quarter system to attend. More nurse specific breakouts during conference not as pre conference reduce the cost of meeting and hotel Continue to offer quality nursing-related topics; it seems to get better every year. standardized nursing competencies and protocols for care. more nursing lectures given by nurses who have experience working in this field Assist those of us who are older to be more social media savvy presenting new ideas and practices Developing College Nursing Competencies have more nursing focused pathophysiology sections, not just psychosocial or behavioral health Google group usage - continue to improve communication Reduce cost of attendance to make the meeting accessible to more nurses ($2400 is minimum cost to attend) ? building leadership skills for those that will lead in the future of college health nursing care across America unsure Continue to create opportunities for nurses to be together (networking) and choose good programs. More opportunities for networking with nurses from other campuses Provide networking time Offer more opportunities for the Nursing section to get together other than the lunch meeting. We need "after sessions" or evening event. Perhaps we could get a sponsor to provide this for us. Don't have a specific answer to this question NA more RN driven presentations more choices for the staff nurse/ director programs Can't say at the moment - new member

15) What is the one thing that the Nursing Section leadership can do for you in the upcoming year? Not sure I don't know this either but I would like to become more involved in ACHA. Quarterly update I appreciate periodic communications to know what is going on in the section or relevant news about NURSING in college health. Would like to see a college health nursing listserv for members College Health Certification reinstated provide webinars Compensation/wage comparisons with other schools and private sector jobs a newsletter would be great sharing current issues Developing College Nursing Competencies Help identify all nurses within the organization - regardless of section chosen. Currently not all members or conference attendees are recognized as nurses... Lpn, RN, msn, CRNP, aprn etc create communication methods to reach out to all nurses who work in College Health (not just those that are organizational members or who attend the annual meeting). ? weekly empowerment quotes, new nursing ideas & innovation quotes, etc.... "just checking in" Keep us connected. Start a newsletter for nurses to learn what other campuses are doing in terms of: vaccination, insurance, how to implement electronic medical records develop a RN college health certification Provide more tangible wording on the nursing competencies, protocols, and policies that are available to membership. Don't have a specific answer to this question have mini meetings in NYC during the year Facilitate networking with RNs outside of the annual meeting. Reinstitute certification for college health nursing--it is a specialty! obtaining information on the College Nurse certification program Can't say at the moment - new member

16) Which ways of networking with other nursing colleagues would most interest you? (Select no more than three choices)

Other Responses: not enough time to do these things, and no private places to participate

17) What types of colleagues would you most like to network with? Colleagues who:

Other Responses: Not important choices related to infection control in student health

18) What most interests you in being involved in the Nursing Section? (Select all that apply)

19) What are the barriers to becoming involved with the Nursing Section in a leadership position?

Other Responses: I have no barriers Do not have the time needed between my job and my family. Lack of time - work full time, plus a part-time job, member of a board I hadn't thought about it no barriers I am involved I don't know enough about what would be involved in this role. have a lot on my plate now Currently serving other ACHA leadership position obligations of aging parents at this time. I'm lucky - I have no barriers. family and work responsibilities don't really know anything about it I think it ishard to maintain a relationship with others working on programs or projects during the year, due to distance, and inability to communicate effectively. do not have extra time at work to fit in other responsibilities Part time and have another part time job that has nothing to do with nursing I volunteer in other capacities and do not have the time to get involved

20) Attended Nursing Section Business meeting

21) If you have not regularly attended the Nursing Section Business meeting, why not?

Other Responses: Have never attended ACHA NA only attended one annual meeting, and didn't know about the business meeting new to the field Did not realize it pertained to me. ? new to college health nursing have been only able to attend one ACHA limited funding to the conference Have not attended any ACHA meetings New member

22) What would you like to see from the Nursing Section Meeting?

Other Responses:

23) Have you attended the Nursing Section Networking function held before or during the ACHA annual meeting?

24) If you have not regularly attended the Nursing Section Networking Function, why not?

Other Responses: I have not Attended ACHA previously. NA I also keep up with the Nurse Director's group and find that their meetings are geared more toward my job duties and responsibilities. see 23 above ? dont get to go to ACHA very often (twice now) New member

25) What would you like to see from the Nursing Section Networking Function? not sure Not sure. Opportunity to meet others with shared interests and discuss issues of relevance. It's also important to socialize for those who don't know anyone at the meeting, so they'll feel more welcome! To hear about what the nursing section has been doing and plans to do for the upcoming year, network with other nurses. need to look at the role of the nurse and see where it needs to be strengthened and how What are other college health nurses doing to advance their careers when they get burned out on college health? college health specific issues in nsg care A session that is facilitated enough to keep things moving, yet not restrict a good conversation that may get going. A bit of structure More communication during the year. It would be nice also to have a method to share hot topics, with solutions with other same sized institutions. warm and welcoming environemnt food time to socialize and exchange information Opportunity to learn more about the Nursing Section Networking Function Networking with other college Nurse leaders
