Mission Overview - Objective Our team’s mission is to send a balloon satellite to an altitude of 100,000 feet in order to have it 1) Take still photographs 2) Make a digital recording of the flight 3) Measure the radiation levels of the upper atmosphere.

Mission Overview - Goals What we hope to accomplish is: 1) Obtain a visual record of near space and Earth from high altitude. 2) Discover how the radiation levels change at higher altitudes.

Design - Parts Still Camera Digital video camera Radiation sensors Temperature probe Wires Film Foam core Aluminum tape Hot glue Small tube Washers (2) 9V batteries (6) 23A batteries (6) Insulation

Testing - Plan Our testing plan is comprehensive and thorough. Each component will be tested more than once and the satellite as a whole will be tested. The tests will progress from simpler tests to more complex ones. Once a subsystem has been tested it will be tested again in all future tests.

Testing – Expected Results Due to our straight-forward design we expect the tests to be successful at their conclusion. All of the subsystem were built carefully and they functioned after construction. Testing will confirm that all components of the satellite will function for the mission.
