2 2 Welcome to the 2010 HNW Kick Off! June 2011 marks the 16th anniversary of the annual Heel ‘n’ Wheel-a-Thon (HNW) for the CCFC. We are excited to introduce some great contests and tools/tips to help us create a successful and memorable HNW event. In 2010 we raised over $1.9 million towards IBD research to help find a cure. This year we aim to achieve $2.2 million, and with your support and participation, we are confident we will get there.

9 9 Contests  Three Team Contests: Contest 1: The team that raises the highest amount Contest 2: The team with the most pledged participants Contest 3: The team with the highest average pledge One Prize for each contest: $500 M&M Meat Shops gift card  ePledge Contest If you register online and raise a minimum of $350 until March 31 Prize: $300 Hbc gift card  Kids Club Contest (13 yrs. & under) All kids club members who raise $500 or more Prize: iPod Touch  (NEW ) Gutsy Generation Club Contest (14 yrs-25) All Gutsy Generation Club members who raise $1000 or More Prize: iPad  Top Pledge Earner Contest If you raise $1000 or more Prize: All expenses paid trip to the Annual CCFC Congress SEVEN This year, we have SEVEN national contests with exciting prizes. All winners’ names under each category will be entered into a draw for a prize – see below for details:

10 10 National Communications Plan  Collateral Material - pledge forms, posters and postcards will be mailed to chapters in February.  All pledge forms and letters will be mailed/email by the National Office to past participants and members:  Mail to participants who raised $500+ in 2010;  Email to all participants with an email address (excluding those in the previous mailer); and  Mail to those who participated from years 2007 to 2010 (excluding those in the first mailer).
