Podcasts  A podcast is a digital media file, or a series of such files, that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like 'radio', can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. The term "podcast" is a portmanteau of the name of Apple's portable music player, the iPod, and broadcast[1]; a pod refers to a container of some sort and the idea of broadcasting to a container or pod describes the process of podcasting. More about the name itself can be found in the history of podcasting article. digital mediaInternetsyndicationfeedsportable media playerspersonal computerswebcastradiohostauthorportmanteauApple'siPodbroadcast[1] broadcastinghistory of podcastingdigital mediaInternetsyndicationfeedsportable media playerspersonal computerswebcastradiohostauthorportmanteauApple'siPodbroadcast[1] broadcastinghistory of podcasting

 Though podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital media formats by its ability to be downloaded automatically, using software capable of reading feed formats such as RSS or Atom. downloadstreamingRSSAtomdownloadstreamingRSSAtom  -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting

Blogs  A blog (short for web log) is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. user-generatedjournal chronological orderuser-generatedjournal chronological order  Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of most early blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media. online diariesphotographsphotoblogsketchblog videosvlogaudiopodcastingsocial media online diariesphotographsphotoblogsketchblog videosvlogaudiopodcastingsocial media  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog

Wiki  A wiki (IPA: [ ˈ w ɪ.ki ː ] or [ ˈ wi ː.ki ː ][1]) is a website that allows visitors to add, remove, edit and change content, typically without the need for registration. It also allows for linking among any number of pages. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for mass collaborative authoring. The term wiki can also refer to the collaborative software itself (wiki engine) that facilitates the operation of such a site, or to specific wiki sites, including the computer science site WikiWikiWeb (the original wiki) and online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia. 6 RSS  RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. web feedblogspodcastsweb feedblogspodcasts  Users of RSS content use software programs called "feed readers" or "feed aggregators". The user subscribes to a feed by entering a link to the feed into the reader program. The reader can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user. softwareaggregatorssoftwareaggregators  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)

Streaming Video  Streaming media is multimedia that is continuously received by, and normally displayed to, the end-user while it is being delivered by the provider. The name refers to the delivery method of the medium rather than to the medium itself. The distinction is usually applied to media that are distributed over telecommunications networks, as most other delivery systems are either inherently streaming (e.g. radio, television) or inherently non-streaming (e.g. books, video cassettes, audio CDs). The verb 'to stream' is also derived from this term, meaning to deliver media in this manner. multimediaend-usertelecommunications networksradiotelevisionvideo cassettesCDsmultimediaend-usertelecommunications networksradiotelevisionvideo cassettesCDs  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streaming_media
