What’s a wiki? From isp.webopedia.com http://isp.webopedia.com/TERM/W/wiki.html. http://isp.webopedia.com/TERM/W/wiki.html A collaborative Web site comprising the perpetual collective work of many authors. Similar to a blog in structure and logic, a wiki allows anyone to edit, delete or modify content that has been placed on the Web site using a browser interface, including the work of previous authors. The term wiki refers to either the Web site or the software used to create the site.
How is a wiki different from a Blog? A blog, typically authored by an individual, does not allow visitors to change the original posted material. A visitor can add comments to the postings in a blog. Wikis contain documents that may be created and edited by a collaborative effort of site visitors, including the original creator.
