4 4 UCSB Module Assembly Problems Past Week –Sensor found with several large spots of white residue on it after being stored in cabinet over night. Tried to clean off with alcohol without success. Removed sensor from module. –Assembled 18/day Tues/Wed/Thurs without much problem. –Started training new person on the gantry and OGP surveying and plating.

5 5 Wirebonding This Week –Modules Bonded: 50 TOB 6 chip 8 TEC R5 3 TEC R6 –Bonding stopped on Thursday due to the bonder consistently losing the wire and sometimes putting tool marks on the sensor. –K & S service person was here yesterday and found a couple problems: The adjustment screw for the wire feed & tear was loose. Bond force was set between 20-25 grams. Should always be kept above 25 grams. –Bonding has resumed today without problem.
