11. Lesson ideas Read into iPod using Dragon Dictation and iPod earbuds with microphone. This app will transcribe what you read into words which you can then add to and improve. Use Google Maps to explore North Carolina. Use Safari to look up facts. Pretend you are working in a grocery store by using the scanner app and the camera feature to scan barcodes on grocery items brought in by students. Then compare and contrast prices, add and subtract, multiply and divide, etc. Use Britannica Kids series to research any topic you can think of!
