1. UNION OF AGROCULTURAL MACHINERY RINGS IN MACEDONIA - UAMRM DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW GENERATION OF FARMERS IN MACEDONIA

2. MISSION: UNION OF AGRICULTURAL MACHNIERY RINGS IN MACEDONIA *IS FORMED IN 2007 WITH A MISSION TO BE LINK AMONG THE MACHINERY RINGS IN MACEDONIA, TO COORDINATE RELATIONS AMONG THEM AND TO ADVOCATE THE INTERESTS OF THE MEMBERS. Objectives:  Machinery ring is an agricultural co-operative, which works to co-ordinate the use of labor and machinery within its membership. It provides its members with best management and opportunities to use their labor and machinery assets better through corporating with other members and agriculturists.

3. STRUCTURE: - The highest body of the UAMRM is the Assembly where all AAMRs participate with their representatives. - Executive Board is consisted of the delegates of all the machinery rings in Macedonia. - The horizontal structure is consisted of: - Agricultural Associations of Machinery Rings, and their sub-structure: - Clubs of Rural Women: objectives: Bringing the rural women out of informal sector; Developing the culture of slow food among the young population. - Clubs of Young Farmers; Participation on international open working camps, Possibilities for volunteer work on farms from EU countries; Developing practical knowledge and experience about modern types of EU farming,. - Branches in 14 neighborhood communities. - UAMRM is represented by a President. - UAMRM has 320 members from which 45 are women and 91 are young farmers.

4. MEMBERSHIP Union of Agricultural Machinery Rings of Macedonia is formed as an initiative of AAMR - Probistip. The members of UAMRM are legal entities and individuals. UAMRM is a member of the Federation of Farmers of Macedonia. UAMRM is a member of European Machinery Rings (12.06.2007) UAMRM is a associated member of the National Platform for Slow and Safe Food “Terra Madre”

5. REASENT ACTIVITIES Ongoing activities 2011: Study tour to Bruselles 17-21 January 2011. Program “People2People” The role of non-governmental association in developing of organic agriculture”. Project “Experimental production of Biodiesel – II” – - Project supported by GEF SGPM. -Ojbectives: Remediation of the poisoned land with oiled plants and low biogas production. - Duration: 21 months. -Forming the Convinium of Slow Food – - Taste education

6. 2010: Celebration of the the Day of Terra Madre – starting with campaign on slow food. Project: “Town Composting” Supported by UNDP. Objectives: - Awareness of the population of Probistip to be raised about the benefits of the composting as well as of the damage of rotting organic waste; - Promotion of the good private-public cooperation; - To encourage the broader public for similar projects implementation through our presentation. Registration in the Central Register in accordance with a new Law of Association and Foundation

7. 2009: Project: “UAMRM for Competitive Agriculture” Objective: Creating the awareness among farmers for new methods in agriculture, using the machineries in a way friendly to the nature. Supported by GTZ-RED. Project: “To a Healthy Food through the usage of organic debrise”. Objective: Developing the awareness about organic farming, Project is supported by REC for CEE.

8. 2008 Public research in 8 neighborhood communities about the agriculture methods. Supported by SFARM. Conducting international Seminar in Lesnovo in partnership with the Europe Youth for Europe. Attendance at the International Conference in Inzell, Germany “Meet the best one”

9. 2007 Developing the Documentary film about the Advantaged Agriculture (Supported by USAID and MIM) Hosting for six days a delegation of Young European Volunteers – Development of the Young Farmers Strategy for Volunteerism 19-26/OCTOMBER 2006 Organization of the First Balkan Conference on Machinery Rings.
