17 Year 2012 = active ageing year (Implementation of projects to solve seniors’ difficulties + Realization in the framework of a European cooperation WHY? 35 % of the population in the E.U > 50 years old between 2005 and 2050 Number of people + 85 years old  x3 by 2050 More and more difficulties for seniors

18 Topics tackled Social aspect Cultural Impact Economic environment The idea is to redress inequalities in every seniors ‘lives segment

19 The Strategy Europe 2020 (=Main project to solve difficulties) Increasing the life expectancy by 2 years within 6 years (2014-2020) Providing 75% of 20-64 people with a job Saving at least 20 million people from poverty and social exclusion.

20 What is the interest for the elderly? Health grants are going to be improved More important workforce=More people to contribute to health system Life expectancy risen= more time to contribute Less exclusion for elderly
