1. THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR By: Anthony Nicolls

4. It was a sunny day at the park. Anthony and Brandon are riding the bus to a camp in the park.

6. Meanwhile, there is a mean hungry black bear wandering in the forest near the park. He is looking for food to eat – Roar!

8. Anthony and Brandon love summer camp. They also like to eat PIZZA.

10. Suddenly the bear wanders into the park. The bear was as hungry as a tiger. He tried eating from the garbage cans in the park- Yuck!

12. The bear tried eating Anthony’s lunch, but Anthony chased the bear away. Anthony ran into the woods, and the bear followed him. After five minutes, Anthony came back.

14. After Anthony came back the camp threw a pizza party and the bear came back for pizza. Ha! Ha!

16. Anthony chased the bear away and saved everyone again. They continued on with the party in his honor, and the bear came back for more pizza.

18. “This bear does not understand that the pizza is not for him!” yelled Anthony. The bear roars and cries to get his mother to help him.

20. All at once, a big black mean nasty Mama Bear comes to the park. Anthony’s eye get as big as the moon when he sees Mama Bear. Mama Bear roars, “You were mean to my son!” She grabs the pizza and runs away into the forest.

22. Anthony, Brandon and all the children do not see the bears all summer. Now remember there is next summer – will the bears be back for more? Read my new book next year to find out.
