Training of Trainers Workshop 31 May – 4 June 2010, FAO Rome Structure of the reporting template for ‘additional information’ > Section 1 on reporting process-related issues Reporting under section 1: Quantifies the resources contributed to the process by the reporting country (human, financial) Highlights major features of the process such as available knowledge, coordination, participation, consultation and validation mechanisms. Few quantitative information is required in this section. Most of the replies are based on multiple choices’ selection.

Training of Trainers Workshop 31 May – 4 June 2010, FAO Rome Structure of the reporting template for ‘additional information’ > Section 2 on specific requests within COP decisions Reporting under section 2: Accomodates the reporting due by Parties at each reporting cycle following specific requests within COP decisions. In 2010, further to COP Decision 13/COP.9, paragraphs 2, 3 and 24, Parties are requested to contribute to an iterative process to refine the set of performance indicators provisionally adopted by the same decision.

Training of Trainers Workshop 31 May – 4 June 2010, FAO Rome Structure of the reporting template for ‘additional information’ > Section 2 on specific requests within COP decisions: the iterative process on indicators Within the iterative process on indicators, Parties shall highlight if and where they have experienced difficulties in reporting on one or more indicator(s). The information on difficulties experienced is referred to the 5 e-SMART criteria of each indicator. Parties need to be familiar with the meaning of the e- SMART criteria for each indicator as described in ICCD/CRIC(8)/5/Add.2. More information on the modalities for reporting on the iterative process are given in the practical session.

7. Training of Trainers Workshop 31 May – 4 June 2010, FAO Rome Structure of the reporting template for ‘additional information’ > Section 3 on reporting on the implementation of the NAP Reporting under section 3: Quantifies the progress made by the reporting country in implementing its NAP. Highlights in a narrative manner the lessons learnt and the problems/constraints/bottlenecks faced along the implementation process.

Training of Trainers Workshop 31 May – 4 June 2010, FAO Rome Structure of the reporting template for ‘additional information’ > Section 4 on other country-specific issues Reporting under section 4: Allows Parties to raise to the attention of the COP any issue they deem necessary and relevant. The issue(s) is(are) to be described in a narrative and concise way; possibly, they shall be classified within one of the six broad categories highlighted in the template.
