As part of a comprehensive effort to inform our community of any emergencies that might arise on campus, the University of Cincinnati offers an emergency text messaging service
UC Public Safety will use the system at their discretion if there is an imminent threat to the safety and security of the campus community or to announce a weather-related university closing
The university will test the system quarterly to determine if it is working properly, but you will not receive non-emergency or advertising messages. UC will not sell your information.

37. Health Insurance Coverage
Any student who registers for six (6) credit hours or more will automatically be provided with University Health coverage beginning with the fall semester.
If you are already covered by health insurance that is equal to or greater than University Health Insurance, go to by May 21, 2013 to waive UC’s Student Health insurance for the academic year.
If you are not already covered by health insurance are not already covered by health insurance that is equal to or greater than University Health Insurance coverage and register for six (6) credit hours or more, you will be charged a fee each semester for UC’s Student Health insurance for the academic year.
