29 High school students have several options in the “NATEF Certified” Automotive Technician Career Academy, offered at West Valley Occupational Center.

30 If a student wishes to start a career with an automotive dealership, their pathway could be: The Automotive Youth Education System (AYES) Program Has partnerships with local automotive dealers Students start the program when they enter the 11th grade

31 Automotive careers pathway: Automotive Technician (130)  Brakes/Steering and Suspension  Engine Performance  Electrical  Smog Automotive Body Repair Technician (130) Automotive Body Repair Estimator (120)

32 Automotive Training Program, is a “NATEF Certified” (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation) program. Automotive Youth Education System (AYES) Program is a two year apprenticeship. All pathways lead to viable employment at the time of graduation. Articulation with Pierce college leads to AA Degree.
