William Penn- Founded Pennsylvania in 1681 with a charter from the King of England.
Penn wanted the colony to be a haven for members of his religion the Quakers.

3. Quakers
The Quakers were a protestant group, also known as the society of friends.

Quakers are pacifist, dress plainly, have no rankings in the church, and they have no formal ministers (everyone gets a chance to speak at church services including women).
