2 What was assessed? Student learning outcomes list: SLO 1*: Integrate theories and concepts from nursing, the liberal arts, sciences, and humanities into professional nursing practice in a world of global interdependence. SLO 2: Provide safe and holistic patient centered care in a variety of health care settings utilizing the nursing process, informatics, and emerging technology.

3 SLO 3: Provide evidence based care of patients for the delivery of optimal health care. SLO 4: Articulate a professional philosophy that reflects autonomy, advocacy, social justice, accountability, responsibility and ethical decision making in the provision of patient centered care. SLO 5: Communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals, families, communities, populations, and interdisciplinary team members, fostering open communication, mutual respect and shared decision making.

11 Assessment results: What have the data told us? Met all but 1 benchmark. Meeting departmental SLO assessed. Our benchmark for clinical was too high – 100% had not left for any student to be unsuccessful in clinical, and no matter how much support a student had from faculty – they may not be successful in clinical. Revised benchmarks

12 Data-driven decisions: How the department has or plans to “close the loop” based on these results. Will continue with remediation efforts for students Benchmark related to clinical outcomes changed from 100% to 95% Continue with reviews
