30 Academic Committee Mission The primary forum for the academic community within CII to provide its expertise in both research methodology and subject matter to the institute. Duties include: –identifying subject matter experts –providing input to the research process –identifying and grooming new academics to serve as CII researchers –integrating CII research and products into the university curriculums –offering insights for new directions for CII 30

32 Academic Committee Membership Membership in the Academic Committee will consist of (at minimum), –academics engaged by CII to conduct research, –academics engaged by CII to conduct educational & professional development activities, –and those that serve on CII standing committees All academics seeking membership will submit to CII an application form and CV. Membership will be renewed every 2 ~ 3 years (no appointment needed). 32

36 Breakthrough Strategy Committee Mission: To develop a process that will insure adequate generation of breakthrough research and other ideas and opportunities in support of other CII core processes. Vision: To establish a long term process in which CII continues to identify, nurture, develop and harvest breakthrough ideas for capital project delivery for the benefit of CII members. 36

37 Implementation Strategy Committee Mission: Engage members to implement CII practices. Promote participation in activities and utilization of knowledge to implement work practices and manage change. Vision: Establish use of the CII knowledgebase as an indispensable resource to integrate work practices, improve communication and, manage change in everyday work activities. 37

39 Knowledge Management Committee Provides management and oversight of CII’s body of knowledge and supports the Communities of Practice –Organize and facilitate access to CII’s body of knowledge through the Knowledge Structure –Develop policy to maintain and add value to the Knowledge Structure, including content changes, topic classification, and product placement, refresh, or archival –Identify emerging Best Practices –Establish and expand Communities of Practice to collaborate and focus on specific industry topics –Report to the Board of Advisors at least annually 39

41 Performance Assessment Committee Develops policy and procedures, provides oversight, and recommends a strategic approach to CII’s collection, analysis, and dissemination of industry data. Develops key definitions to guide the effort and identifies critical measurements needed for identification of best practices and management of a continuous improvement program. Interfaces with Benchmarking Associates, who are trained member organization representatives, for collection of data and interpretation and dissemination of benchmarking results. 41
