5 WILL/SHALL + infinitive Does not usually imply any specific time and can refer to remote future, it expresses promises, obligations, immediate intentions or speaker‘s opinion. It is also used in conditionals. * I will have to pay for it. * Shall I meet you there? * I‘ll let you know once I know the results. * We won‘t be there in time. * I‘ll help you to carry it. * I think it will rain at the weekend. * Will you do it for me? BE GOING TO + infinitive Expresses speaker‘s feeling of certainty. speaker‘s intentions or plans, indicates that there is an evidence for a future action. * She is going to travel all over the world. * He is not going to get married until he is 35. * Look at the clouds, it is going to rain. * What are you going to do next weekend? * Why do you need a carwax? Are going to wash your old Cadillac?

6 Future continuous tense Usually used with a point in time and expresses an action which starts before that time and probably continues after it. * I will be working at the weekend. * She will be gardening this afternoon. * They will still be cooking when you arrive. * He won‘t be playing tennis, he‘ll be doing other things. * The kids will be watching films, they won‘t mind staying late. * I will be helping Marry tomorrow. * He will be writing an exam essay this time next week. Future perfect and Future perfect continuous Normally used with the expression beginning with BY, such as by the time, by the 13th, by the end of this year and indicates that a certain action or a period is to be completed by the time. * By the end of the month he will have been here for 10 years. * I will have saved 10000 USD by the end of next year. * I will have drunk all my wine bottles by the time the new ones are delivered. * By the end of this summer he will have been living in the country for 20 years. * BY the end of this year they will have been acting for 35 seasons.

7 * Modals CAN, MAY or MUST can also be used for future, they indicate a level of certainty that an action happens in the future. * He must come. (I am sure he will come.) * She may not help us, she seems to be as desperate as us. * He can‘t come, he‘ll working at that time.
