19 Dangling Modifiers  When a verbal phrase begins the sentence and modifies the subject of the sentence, the subject should follow it immediately.  Walking down the street, the building came into sight. WRONG  Walking down the street, the building was seen by Holly. WRONG  Walking down the street, Holly saw the building.
