2. Rembrandt Is considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history. He was born in 1607 and died in 1669 He was born in Leiden, Netherlands

Rembrandt In 1606 on 15 July, Rembrandt is born in Leiden as the ninth child. 1613-1620 Rembrandt attended a Latin school. 1620-1623 Rembrandt is apprenticed to the Leiden painter, Jacob van Swanenburgh. 1624 Rembrandt owns his own studio. 1625 Rembrandt is apprenticed for six months to the painter Pieter Lastman. 1628 Rembrandt receives his first students.

He dies two months later and is buried at the Westerkerk. 1669 Magdalena van Loo has a daughter, Titia. Rembrandt paints two more self-portraits. He dies on 4 October and is buried at the Westerkerk

Hals Frans Hals was born into the family of a cloth-maker of Dutch origin 1600-03, Frans studied under Karel van Mander in Haarlem In 1610, he became a master of the St. Lukas Guild and in 1644 was elected its deacon Hals life is not eventful and is little known short trip to Antwerp in 1616 but died in poverty
