2 Britain and France fought four wars in this time period. After the Glorious Revolution King James II fled to France which caused tension between the countries. This trickles down to the colonies. Animosity between the countries loom for many years.

3 Fought between New France and New England and their native alliances. The countries essentially rival for claim on the territory.

4 King Charles II (of Spain) died in 1700, and arguments about who succeed him on the throne. Questions of the thrones involved several countries. (Balance of Power) England declared war on Spain, and eventually France. This, again, trickled down to the colonies.

5 Started between Spanish Florida and Caribbean Britain. Britain got involved diplomatically through a conflict in Europe. Ally to Austria. War was formally declared between Britain and France. Fought on the frontier between British colonist and New France. King George III

7 New France and British colonies fought with American Indians allied on both sides. The Treaty of Paris 1763 created new boundaries for the British colonies. These wars, fought over a long period, proved to be very expensive for Britain and France. George Washington
