4 4 Assign People Assign Names Remember that AERO users have to answer the disclosure questions Date the Owner has to submit the PLAN to the SPOC Date the SPOC has to have the plan approved by Date the Lead and/or the External requestor has to have the plan approved by If the CAR contains Export controlled information remember to check the box

5 5 User Selection (Lead) Select Current Site to search for a user in the current site Select All Site to search for any user in eCATS at any site Enter a users ID or last name. Leave both blank to see a full list of names. After the initial search you can filter the selection by first letter of last name. This filter works only after you have performed a search.

6 6 User Selection (SPOC) You can now search by first or last name, Product Line, Cell, or Department, and the Site Name. Alpha filters are available to help further limit your results

7 7 The system provides a reminder of the required information if it is blank when you leave the screen to move to the next screen If you want to Skip this screen for now you can click Skip, this will take you to the next screen but you will need to return to finish putting in the required data Assign People Page Controls

9 9 Finding and Event Enter the details about the Requirement. Provide the work instruction, procedure, standard, identify what we were supposed to do. Enter the finding details. Enter what we were actually doing. Keep to the facts, provide a complete explanation including what when where. Select what boxes you want to be required for the owner. Click on Submit to create the CAR

13 13 Top Menu HOME – Returns you to the Dashboard CAR – Draft CAR list, Initiate new CAR, and Advanced Search ADMIN – For Site and system information, including users, customers, and suppliers HELP – Form to send your question to the eCATS general email box CONTACTS –Site focal listing for all sites in eCATS TRAINING – Here you will find the eCATS User Manual and the On-Line Help Tutorial. LOGOUT – And this is where you logout REPORTS – Access to the standard set of reports

19 19 Responding to a CAR Populate the text fields. Fields with an * are required fields. Responding to a CAR Enter Promise Dates. These are the dates that the implementation will be done by and will be used as the due date for Waiting Owner Implementation Select the Root Cause and C/A Codes Submit will be grayed out until the Response Complete has been marked Implementation Signoff will be completed after Lead Approval Check off Response Complete The Event Question must also be written prior to the completion of this step. The question is on the Team page.

20 20 Comments are always encouraged but will be required if the CAR is Rejected The SPOC name will auto populate when you select Accepted or Rejected SPOC Approval

21 21 Lead/Requestor Approval Comments are always encouraged but will be required if the CAR is Rejected The Lead name will auto populate when you select Accepted or Rejected

22 22 Lead/Requestor Approval When the Lead Approval is Accepted you will be asked if you want to schedule a Follow Up Review. To schedule the Follow up review assign the Reviewers name. The schedule date will auto populate after the owner signs off Waiting for Owner Implementation. At that time the reviewer will be able to reschedule it as needed.

24 24 Waiting Owner Implementation The Promise Dates Provided during the Owners Response provide the due date for Waiting Owner Implementation. When all the promised actions have been completed the owner will mark off the Implementation Completed check box and submit the CAR. If the Due dates above are less then 7 days in the future from the date the Owner signs off the Waiting Owner Response the system will use the Waiting Owner Response Signoff date plus 7 days as the due date for Waiting Owner Implementation.

25 25 Follow Up Review Schedule date will pre populate with 7 days after the Owner Implementation signoff date. If you put in a date before that it will be over written when the owner signs it off. Per ISO and other standards you must provide evidence of your follow up review. State what you looked at, validated, who you talked to, etc Enter the date the follow up review was conducted For your disposition you can determine what the following status will be. If an Effectiveness Review is not scheduled you will need to provide a reason why

26 26 Effectiveness Review Schedule date will be set by the Follow Up reviewer when the Follow Up is finished Per ISO and other standards you must provide evidence of your Effectiveness review. State what you looked at, validated, who you talked to, etc Enter the date the follow up review was conducted

27 27 Comments can only be deleted by an Administrator Enter your comments Then click Save at the bottom of the page to save the changes and the comment to the database Click Add to insert it into the CAR. CAR Comments
