4.  Completed in 23 BCE.  His tomb was started before he even took power because he wanted to show that he intended to be buried in Rome.  Built on the Campus Martius.  During ancient times it looked like a mound with rings of trees growing on it.  This tomb was made in the style of early Roman settlers.  A large statue of Augustus once topped the mound.

6.  15 BCE  This tomb shows Caius’ connection to Egypt.  Do you think he liked Augustus? No  The wall was built later and incorporated the tomb.

8.  Late 1 st century BCE.  Marcus Vergilius Eurysaces  He was a baker. Also a freedman.  The strange cylindrical objects are thought to be measuring devices or some type of dough rolling machine.
