10 Sup. / Natl. Chapters Superior Chapter Award –Form One of the application –Asks for one event within each of the fifteen areas in the three categories –Asks 11 questions about general information on your program: banquet, retreat, alumni, etc. involvement above local level access to FFA

11 Sup. / Natl. Chapters National Chapter Award –Form Two of the application –Highlights three events within each area (student, chapter, comm); 9 total –Scores on POA (goals, steps, review) Top 10% of programs in nation No limit on three stars, all based on how well you fill out the application –Recognizes innovative ideas (MOI) and exemplary programs (MOE)

13 Activity Description Simple 1 or 2 sentence description Clearly explains purpose and reason for activity AREA – Chapter Development DIVISION – Public Relations To promote a positive image of the FFA chapter by recognizing member achievements, highlighting a year in review and installing the new officer team

19 The Havens FFA chapter held its annual banquet on May 1. The event achieved its purpose by showcasing 16 CDE teams, 47 degree winners and recognizing outstanding community supporters, as well as installing the new officer team and was educational as it promoted a positive image of the program. 489 people were impacted by attending the banquet. Goal 1 – (MET) Invitations were sent on March 10 by the chapter Reporter

20 High quality picture, showing involvement in the activity Be interesting and informative Do not repeat photos within the application Students grow their own bedding plants from plugs as an FFA fundraiser using 3 greenhouses. They are responsible for mixing the growing medium, transplanting, mixing the fertilizers, and manipulating the greenhouse environment. They based this on each crop’s light, moisture, and temperature needs at specific stages of growth. Photo/ Caption
