2 Cluster Conference May 30/31 2005, Brno 2 A tool for governments Born after World War II as the Organization for European Economic Co-operation to coordinate the Marshall Plan Transformed in 1961 into the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development with trans-Atlantic and then global reach Today the OECD has 30 member countries, more than other 70 countries in direct contact CR joined the OECD in December 1995

Director of CFE reports directly to Deputy Secretary General

8 Cluster Conference May 30/31 2005, Brno 8 On the 11 th June 2003, the OECD Council decided to establish in co- operation with the Italian government and Autonomous Province of Trento the OECD LEED Trento Centre for Local Development. Its mission represents implementation of the LEED Outreach policy within the LEED Mandate approved for the period 2006-2010. OECD LEED Trento Centre for Local Development
