On the contrary, the king penguin eats mainly fish and some squid. Another way these two precious birds are different is their size. A king penguin is about 3 feet tall and about 35 pounds. However, the macaroni penguin is about 2 feet tall and about 14 pounds. Additionally, their appearance is different. The smaller macaroni penguin has yellow and black feathers sticking out of the side of their heads, unlike the larger king penguin that has orange spots near their ears and on their necks.
