Twitter What is Twitter and Why Use it? Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? http://vimeo.com/757146 In essence twitter is microblogging Why use it – Twitter is an indispensable tool to get you closer to those in that community, you can use to connect with friends, family, coworkers, or use to learn about certain products, news, and events.

Twitter Twitter Lingo DM = Direct Message @ = Use to reply and always include proceeding a Twitter ID in a reply RT = Retweet Tweet = Sending a message on Twitter Tw + any other word. A fun practice on Twitter is to develop a new twist on old words. For example, Tworld = Twitter world, and Tweeples = Those who use Twitter.

Share any company news, i.e. we sent out a tweet regarding our Online Workshops for adults **Note: Try to stay away from using twitter as a self promotion tool Other ways to use twitter; Instant customer feedback, i.e. if we were looking to add new locations, programs, etc…we can gather instant customer information
