2004 Rotaract Art Auction Austin College - April 15, 2004 Rotary International Rotaract Clubs work under the guidance of their local Rotary Club Today, there are some 165,000 members in more than 7,000 Rotaract Clubs in 151 countries. Rotaract Clubs of the American University in Cairo at a Fundraiser. Rotaract Rotaract is an international organization of service clubs for men and women aged 18-30 that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace. ‘Rotaract’ = Rotary + Action

The Toll Since 1983: Nearly two million people have died. ~ 80% of southern Sudan's estimated five million people have been displaced.

More than 3 million refugees in Egypt. Egypt is a gateway to freedom for millions of refugees escaping the famine, repression and civil wars of the African continent. Most of these refugees are young people, who have escaped the hardships of war, torture and oppression.

African Hope Learning Center With the help of UNHCR most of these children will emigrate to the United States, Canada, Australia or Finland. Students study english, the environment, geography and the arts. It is crucial for them to have a basic education.

African Hope Learning Center Food and Education Costs for the School are $150,000 per year. The AHLC relies primarily on donations from North Americans and Europeans. With nearly 500 children, the cost is $300 per year. In other words, $25 = Food & Education for One Child, for one whole month
