49. Help Notes: The MyPBX supports SIP & ISDN Direct In Dial.
The MyPBX Standard, E1 & Pro do not operate as a Router / Gateway, and will not allow data traffic from the LAN to the WAN. There fore not acting as a gateway for PC traffic.

50. Help Notes Cont. Allow sufficient Internet Speed and always
recommend a dedicated internet connection for IP calls.
Always research the ISP’s for the area you may find a business grade DSL service at reasonable rates for your customer.
It is recommended that installers upgrade to the
latest firmware upon receipt of MyPBX and all
handsets.
Always have a backup phone line in case the
internet goes down – usually the Fax line is suitable for this.

51. Help Notes Cont. Analogue data devices such as FAX machines
and EFTPOS do not work well over IP systems. T38 Faxing is making the proposition of faxing via the internet possible but due to the reliability of voice components being converted to digital compression, information is lost as part of the process and therefore it isn’t as reliable as a dedicated line.

52. Installing Expansion Cards
Cards must be installed while the MyPBX units are powered off.
The analogue ports are inactive unless a module is installed.
IP handsets can not connect to the Analog Ports, they connect to a separate network or switch.
Once a unit has been powered on with a card installed you should not use that slot for a different type of card, unless the unit has been factory reset.

53. Installing Expansion Cards Cont.
A Green light relates to an analogue extension port (FXS).
A blinking Green light is a ringing extension port.
A blinking Green / Red light is an in use extension port.
A Red Light relates to an analog trunk port (FXO).
A blinking Red on / off light is a disconnected trunk port.
A single Red light in the group of two relates to a GSM Trunk
An Orange steady light indicates a BRI connection, if it flashes it means that the BRI is disconnected.
