Rules for the ICT Classroom Always follow the teacher’s instructions. Never let anyone else know your password – you may lose your ability to use the network if you do. If you think someone else knows your password, come to the ICT office and ask to change it as soon as possible. Save your work often (perhaps after every couple of minutes)

Do not do any of the following: · Use a chatroom · Browse the internet when you have not been allowed · Look at obscene or offensive material or produce it. · Check e-mail without permission · Download or stream video or music files without permission

Avoid sending too much information to the printer. Print preview your work to ensure you are not printing too many pages.

Food and drink, including chewing gum, are not allowed in the ICT classrooms.

Stay in your seat unless you have been told otherwise

Work quietly and avoid distracting other people unfairly

Report any technical problems you are having to the teacher or the technician Leave other people’s computers alone Stay away from the cables behind the computers Treat the computers with care as you would not appreciate having to pay a repair bill Check everything is left tidy for the next user
