2 OW2con’2013 Digital Agenda for Europe: concrete goals  The entire EU to be covered by high speed broadband by 2013.  to be covered by broadband above 30 Mbps by 2020  50 % of the EU to subscribe to broadband above100 Mbps by 2020  50 % of the population to buy online by 2015  20 % of the population to buy online cross-border by 2015  33 % of SMEs to make online sales by 2015  The difference between roaming and national tariffs to approach zero by 2015  To increase regular internet usage from 60 % to 75 % by 2015, and from 41 % to 60 % among disadvantaged people.  To halve the proportion of the population that has never used the internet from 30 % to 15 % by 2015  50 % of citizens to use e-Government by 2015,  All key cross-border public services, to be agreed by Member States in 2011, to be available online by 2015  To double public investment in ICT R&D to € 11 bn by 2020  An Open Source-friendly Environment!

3 OW2con’2013 Digital Agenda for Europe: Actions Achieving the digital single market-110 bln euro GDP growth  Open-up legal access to online content  facilitate electronic payments and invoicing  New Telecom package: single authorization for Electronic Communications Operators and unique terms and conditions for users; Enhancing interoperability and standards  enhance the interoperability of devices, applications, data repositories, services and networks (standards) Consolidating online trust and security Promoting fast and ultra fast Internet access for all  Broadband infrastructures Investing in research and innovation Enhancing digital literacy, skills and inclusion- Leveraging smart use of technology for society

4 OW2con’2013 European Cloud Strategy Main goals:  Standardization of the Cloud  Safe and Fair Contract Terms and Conditions  Cloud Private-Public Partnership Stimulation measures -R&D support under Horizon 2020 on long-term challenges specific to cloud computing -€50 billion boost to European networks -Cloud-based public services: setting up businesses online; cross-border procurement and eHealth services; and access to public sector information. -Studies, mentoring and counselling schemes, -Raising awareness Campaign -e-skills and digital entrepreneurship => We ask the Commission to make Europe more Cloud-active!

5 OW2con’2013 Access to finance for entrepreneurship and innovation  Private and institutional investment in startups,  Offering a range of tax reliefs such as : UK Entreprise investement Scheme and Seed Enterprise investment Scheme;  Creation of European Venture capital funds  Reinforcing business angels networks  Inviting governments to buy more services from smaller businesses  A new type of cross-European company which can be set up in 24 hours;  Allowing acces to public markets (my company has been listed on the small capital market of the Warsaw Stock exchange, NewConnect)  80 bln euro to finance European innovation  Promote cloud research and Innovation within the Horizont 2020 programme
