5 Campus Housing The housing at UC Davis is set up in four types of housing which are residence halls, single student apartment, campus apartments, and cooperatives. One type of housing may be more suitable for some students than others.  Residence halls are primarily offered to freshman, who usually have a spot saved for them in the halls. The residence halls contracts include things such as dining commons meal plans.The residence halls do not have kitchens.  Single student apartments are only available to transfer students. Single student apartment are a collection of apartment units.  Campus apartments are available to a variety of UC Davis students. The campus apartments do offer a private kitchen and bathrooms.  Cooperatives are small,student-operated living communities which are self-reliant.

9 History about UC Davis UC Davis was founded in 1905,with the first students admitted in 1908. It is a public school. Their motto in engilsh is “Let There Be Light”. Their school colors are aggie blue and gold. Their mascot is Gunrock the mustang. Its nickname is Aggie.UC Davis used to be called the University of Farm as an extension of UC Berkeley from 1905-1922.

10 Athletics Information UC Davis has one of the largest athletics program in the country. They have 500 student-athletics participating in 23 varsity sports. They also have 33 student club sports and 14 intramural sports. They offer men’s and woman’s: Archery Golf Badminton Woman’s Field Hockey Basketball Swimming Bowling Men’s Football Cheerleading Tennis Cross-Country Soccer Diving Men’s Wresting And they offer many more.

11 Arts Program Information UC Davis has areas in were they study the art. Some areas may include art and art history, design program,English,film studies,music,techno cultural studies,and theater and dance. They also have other places were they study arts such as the craft center,arts and humanities.It is were the students the staff and others can come and enjoy all the art.

12 Degrees UC Davis offers Bachelor’s degrees,Master’s degrees,and Doctoral degrees. They offer bachelor's degrees in biology,social sciences, psychology,agriculture,engineering,and visual and performing arts. They offer degrees in zoology,botany,genetics and many more.

13 Specifically Known For: Some programs the school is specifically known for are their state- our state-of-the-art research facilities,productive laboratories and progressive spirit.
