2 Welcome to the SFA System Clicking on the icon will take you to the Welcome page Select Log On from the left menu

3 Log On Before logging on, you will need to Create Web Account, located on the bottom right corner of your screen If you have already created your account, enter your SIN number and password to Log On The Need Help button is available on the top right corner of each screen to provide instructions

4 Create Web Account Complete the required information and select Create Account

5 Update Web Account To Update Web Account select from left menu

6 Security Statement Review the Security Statement Proceed by selecting Next at the bottom of the page

7 Create/Update/Delete Application Before you are able to Create/Update/Delete an application, you will need to read the Before You Start If you try to proceed, you will receive the following error message:

8 Click Here Before You Start By viewing the Before You Start you will leave the secure site Your personal information was entered in a secure area and cannot be viewed by others

9 Before You Start Here you will find helpful information about the program and completing your application This page opens as a separate page so you will need to “X” out of this page at the top right hand corner of your screen

10 Create/Update/Delete Application You can now Create Full-Time Student Loan Application by selecting the appropriate year

11 Security Disclaimer You must read and Agree to the Security Disclaimer Select Submit

12 Applicant Demographic Screens are similar to the paper application A list of the Applicant screens is on the left menu bar

13 Applicant Program Complete questions regarding Tuition and Books

14 Applicant Program If you are not attending the U of R, U of S, or a SIAST campus, select Other School and submit a Program Information Form

15 Applicant Program Ensure you are familiar with the consequences of discontinuing

16 Applicant Program Select your School Name from the drop down A new pop up will allow you to select Program Name

17 Applicant Program Select Program Name A new pop up will allow you to select your Session

18 Applicant Program Select Session Provide additional program information and Submit

19 Applicant Program If your school is not listed, select Other School Enter Study Period Start and End Date You will be need to submit a Program Information Form completed by your school The form is available to print at the end of the application process

20 Applicant Category Complete the following questions to determine your Applicant Category If you are a dependent student, you will need to complete the parental information If you are married/common-law, you will need to complete the spousal information

21 Applicant Dependants Select Add Dependant to add information about each dependant Once you have added all your dependants, select Next

22 Applicant Dependants Add the requested information for your first dependant To add additional dependants, select Add Another Dependant You can Cancel This Dependant if you make a mistake prior to selecting Save Dependants. Select Save Dependants once all your dependents information has been added. You will be taken back to the Applicant Dependants screen

23 Applicant Eligibility Complete the Citizenship and Saskatchewan Residency questions that apply

24 Applicant Eligibility The following questions are voluntary however, are used for eligibility for certain grants

25 Applicant Education History Complete elementary/high school information Enter your most recent period of full-time studies where you received student loans/grants and indicate if you were successful or not You can skip the Successful Completion section if you have never received student loans/grants from Saskatchewan

26 Applicant Pre-Study Period Study Period Information Complete the information below if you were going to full-time post-secondary, adult basic education or skills training within the four months before your upcoming period of study.

27 Applicant Pre-Study Period Study Period Information Complete the questions for your Pre-Study Period If you are single with no children, ‘family home’ means living with your parents If you are married, ‘family home’ means living with your spouse If you are a single parent, ‘family home’ means living with your children

28 Applicant Pre-Study Period Study Period Information And for your Study Period Select Next to continue

29 Applicant Assets Complete the information as requested To add RRSP’s and Other Financial Investments, select Add Detail Item

30 Applicant Assets Add Applicant Asset: RRSP Add Applicant Asset: Other Investment

31 Applicant Income Complete the applicable Applicant Pre-Study Income information and select Next Do not declare employment or self-employment income

32 Applicant Income Complete the applicable Applicant Study Income information and select Next

33 Applicant Expense Complete the applicable Applicant Expense information and select Next

34 Review/Submit Application Select View Application to review your information

35 View Application Review information to ensure you have entered all information correctly

36 Review/Submit Application If you need to update information, use the left menu to select the screen that requires updating Once you are sure your information is complete, select Submit Application

37 Submission Result If you have not provided all required information, you will receive an error message To update the information, select the highlighted area on the message or select the appropriate screen from the left menu

38 Review/Submit Application Submit Application if your information is complete

39 Submission Result Your application CANNOT be updated on-line after it is successfully submitted You must select required documents to access the documents necessary to complete the application process Reference your Application Number when inquiring about your student loan

40 Required Documents and Forms Once you Submit Application, you will be given a list of required documents Print these documents, complete and forward to the Student Service Centre You may log back into your account to print these documents at a later date

43 Supplementary Forms If you need additional supporting documents or information such as: Application Forms – Job Search – Practicum/Internship – Consent to Release Information – Program Information Form Reassessment Forms Declaration Forms Grant Applications for Students with Permanent Disabilities See Apply for a Student Loan at saskatchewan.ca/studentloanssaskatchewan.ca/studentloans

44 User Logout Remember, the processing of your application cannot be completed until all Required Documents have been received by the Student Service Centre Ensure that you Log Out to keep your information secure Congratulations! You have completed your on-line application!
