5 How do I correct errors? “Recast” - Example
Teacher: What did you do yesterday afternoon? Student: We go to shopping yesterday. Teacher: Oh, you went shopping yesterday afternoon.

6 How do I correct errors? Record the student speaking Either:
Listen together on the spot. Share two things the student did well and focus on one error. Take the recording home. Write out the errors the student made, with corrections.

23 Pronunciation Game - minimal pair code
Make a table (8 cols, 10 rows) with 4 columns for words, 4 for numbers. 10 rows for 10 groups of words. Each row contains two minimal pairs Talk about the phonetic differences between the two phonemes of each minimal pair Inform the students that you are going to read the words of each row RANDOMLY. They need to number what they hear (or what they think they heard) from 1 to 4. Now read the numbers from left to right as you ordered them.
