1. Adjectives must match the gender and number of the nouns they describe.
2. In Spanish, adjectives usually follow the noun.
Masculine adjectives
- often end in -o
ej. el chico guapo
Feminine adjectives
- often end in -a.
ej. la chica guapa

3. 3. Most adjectives that end with –e or a consonant will refer to both genders ej. El chico paciente o la chica paciente

4. 4. To make an adjective plural, add -s if it ends with a vowel, add -es if it ends with a consonant.
ej. los chicos guapos
ej. los chicos trabajadores
5. When an adjective describes a group containing both genders, the masculine form of the adjective is used.
