9. Additional Diploma Designations
In addition to the Standard 24 credits:
Scholar Designation – Students must satisfy additional requirements, including more rigorous courses and passing EOC scores
Out of state and private school transfer students who have already completed Biology, Geometry, and U.S. History will need to take these EOCs to qualify for this designation.
Merit Designation – Students must attain one or more approved industry certifications
Biliteracy Seal- Recognizes students who have attained high level competency in a foreign language

10. Advance Placement (AP) Versus Dual Enrollment
Students have the opportunity to take highly rigorous courses depending on their goals for college.
In - state consider a mix of dual enrollment and AP
Out-of-state consider AP courses
WHS has over 30 AP courses offered. Over half of our students are in at least one AP course.
350 students that attend Valencia, UF and/or UCF for dual Enrollment courses are being taken at the college level.
30 students are taking 165 CTE courses at our technical college.
