9 Orienting to Office 365 On your screen, you will see multiple tabs.
FILE: Where you can save, download, open, create new documents, etc. This is where you can also share with  HOME: A catch all space. This is where you adjust font size, color, and type. You can also adjust margins, line spacing, and many other tools. You can put indents.  INSERT: A place where you can insert pictures, new pages, tables, headers/footers, symbols, etc.  These three are on all the 365 products. Each product will have different ones after those three. Clicking through the additional tabs is a good thing to do when using a different program. This helps you know where everything is!

10 Using the HOME tab This tab stays up the most. It has multiple functions that you will use often. Clicking the arrow at the bottom of any section will pull up more options! It has the undo button. If you ever mess up, you can press this button (or use Ctrl+Z) to undo the last thing you did! This is where you can change font size, color, and highlight.  Word Online defaults you to Calibri font (that's what this font is) and size 11 type. If you realize halfway through an essay, use Ctrl+A to select all font and change it all at the same time. The Paragraph changes are also available here. Under this section, you can make bulleted or numbered lists, change the spacing between paragraphs or lines, and adjust the alignment (right, center, left) of your writing. The default settings are: Left Alignment, 8pt space between paragraphs, and about single space between lines.

11 Response to Literature

Working with Text Now that you've got some text to work with, let's get used to using Word Online. Add a title to your Response. Make sure that your name is on it too!   Click at the beginning of your paragraph and hit the TAB button. This indents your paragraph. (If TAB isn't working, hit the SPACE bar 5 times) Change the font of your paragraph. Ctrl + A will select all of your font. Choose any READABLE font for your paragraph. Then change the size to 12.  Align your paragraph to the LEFT. Adjust line spacing to DOUBLE space (2) and NO (0 pt) space between paragraphs. (Remember the Arrow could help!) When done, open your book and read.

13 Sharing and Turning in Work
In ELAB, we will use Forms to turn in work.  Up at the top of your word document, you should see the Share button. Click on it! Then, at the bottom of the box that pops up, click "Copy Link". Then click the BLUE COPY button. This will copy it to your clipboard. (You can also highlight the whole link and hit (Ctrl + C).  THEN: Go to your teacher's website on the school's website. (Ctrl + T should open new tab, then click on the house!) Find where they have their turn in spot. Click on the link! Follow the directions on the form.
