Combined cleanliness section with condition and appearance Dementia section clearer First and last impressions questions included on most of the assessment forms PLACE review - update

5 What’s improved? Less form filling – able to input results straight onto web based tool Questions less subjective Fewer questions with N/A scoring options No weighting on the scoring Greater emphasis on role of team leader running the assessments PLACE review - update

8 PLACE review –recommendations
Involve patient assessors throughout the annual process. Keep all patient assessors informed of progress, invite them back into the organisation for feedback and routine updates Consider running PLACE-Lite during the year Work on developing banks of patient assessors locally, consider enlisting support from third sector organisations Present results and recommended actions to the Board Share organisation results on external website, with staff and with local patient forums and other interested groups Develop and implement action plans Use independent assessor resource available PLACE review - update

9 PLACE review – next steps
Continued development of PLACE with dedicated working group Issue user survey after annual collections and use results to continually improve PLACE Improve action plan support and process Extend bank of patient assessors Work with NHS England/NHS Improvement comms to raise awareness of PLACE nationally Provide quarterly updates to all PLACE leads PLACE review - update
