5 Process 1. Club logs onto Club Maith website 2. Complete online Registration Form (six counties) or download and submit Initial Application Form (Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal) 3. Correspondence sent from Ulster GAA 4. Download and complete Club Maith Portfolio 5. Assessment of Portfolio by trained facilitators 6. Club Visit* by trained facilitators 7. Collaboration of marking score and conferment of award from Ulster GAA

On a date and time to suit Club and Facilitators Two trained Facilitators Lasts no more than 2 hours An opportunity for clubs to showcase themselves, and to add value to their Portfolio Typically speak to Committee, tour of Grounds, witness some youth coaching

7 Scoring Total = 98 criteria BRONZE – all 49 bronze criteria
SILVER – all 49 bronze + all 18 silver criteria GOLD – all 49 bronze, all 18 silver + any 20 gold criteria Nomination for Platinum – all 97 criteria 98th criteria “additional information”

8 Once Registered Each award lasts for three years
An annual “health check” required an online, tick-box exercise Awards can be removed if Club found to default on any area of Club Maith.

9 Task – 10 minutes Group 1 = 1 – 29 Group 2 = 30 – 52 Group 3 = 53 – 71

10 Task – 10 minutes GREEN = already being achieved in the Club
On the sheet divide the page into 3 columns: Green, Amber and Gold. Using the number of each criterion in your section place each in the column to best describe its position in your Club GREEN = already being achieved in the Club AMBER = being done to a certain degree / the Club would need a slight bit of work RED = is not being done / the Club would struggle greatly to achieve this

12 Practical Tips Appoint a small committee to help in pulling Portfolio together Delegate areas of responsibility to those who already do the various jobs in the Club Estimated 100 man-hours in completing Club Maith Let the wider Club know you are going through Club Maith

13 Practical Tips Aim for a realistic award...remember Club Maith should allow for further development Use the Traffic Light exercise to begin the process Any Bronze level criteria which are AMBER or RED should be your first priority Set a date for completion and stick to it
