The French fought with the First Nations People.
They also fought the British and their American colonies.

There are some major wars between the French and English in North America.
Each conflict was a European war that had been carried over to the colonies.

9. King William’s War Began in 1689 and ended in 1697.
It was fought to block King Louis XVI’s ambitions to expand his overseas territory.
Many raids against Britain’s Thirteen Colonies.

10. Treaty was signed which returned all captured territories to their original owners.
This included Acadia.

Champlain started a settlement of sixty settlers in “Port Royal”.
The settlement was abandoned but a few settlers stayed.
They would become strong farmers and form their own colony called “Acadia”.
